Artificial Intelligence is not just a technology shift — it is redefining how work happens.
Artificial Intelligence is not just a technology shift — it is redefining how work happens. This course helps students understand how AI is transforming industries, decision-making, and human roles across business, research, and academia. Rather than focusing on coding, it explores how workflows evolve, how value is created, and how individuals can stay relevant in an AI-driven world. Students gain a strategic perspective on the future of work — where human expertise meets machine intelligence — and learn how to position themselves in rapidly changing environments.
A fast-paced introduction to how AI is reshaping industries, roles, and workflows.
Deeper exploration with real-world examples and interactive discussion on adaptation strategies.
A structured, full-day experience covering systems, workflows, and future scenarios.
Academic introduction to AI's impact on work, including case-based learning and discussion.
Comprehensive program with frameworks, case studies, and applied thinking on future careers.

Research is not just about knowledge — it is about positioning within a global system.
Research is not just about knowledge — it is about positioning within a global system. This course equips PhD students with the tools to analyse scientific literature, identify trends, and strategically position their research. Moving beyond traditional literature reviews, it introduces data-driven approaches to understanding scientific impact and evolution. Students learn how to map their field, discover opportunities, and define their unique research contribution.

Full-day deep dive into tools, methods, and applications.
Structured academic course on analysing scientific knowledge systems.
Comprehensive program for PhD-level strategic research development.
Science evolves through challenge, debate, and validation.
Science evolves through challenge, debate, and validation. This course explores how knowledge is created, tested, and refined through scientific debate, critical thinking, and peer review. It provides a deep understanding of how ideas evolve and how scientific systems maintain quality and credibility. It also examines how AI is reshaping research practices, raising new questions about authorship, originality, and evaluation.
Introduction to the core mechanisms of scientific progress.
Interactive exploration of argumentation and evaluation.
Full-day deep dive into epistemology and modern challenges.
Academic introduction to debate, peer review, and critical analysis.
Comprehensive course on how science functions and evolves in modern contexts.
Turn strategy and ideas into structured, controlled, and successfully delivered projects.
Successful projects require more than schedules, task lists, and software tools. They require clear objectives, realistic planning, effective governance, coordinated teams, informed decision-making, and continuous control.
This course gives advanced students a practical understanding of the complete project lifecycle—from defining the business need and establishing project objectives to planning, implementation, monitoring, change control, closure, and benefits evaluation.
Students learn how to develop scope, schedules, budgets, resource plans, stakeholder strategies, risk responses, quality controls, and communication systems. They also examine predictive, agile, and hybrid delivery approaches and learn how to select an appropriate method for different projects and organizational environments.
Through practical cases, collaborative exercises, and an applied project, students develop the judgement and professional discipline required to balance scope, time, cost, quality, risk, resources, and expected value.
A fast introduction to how projects run from business need through to closure.
Hands-on work on charters, work breakdown structures, milestones, and cost plans.
A full day on governance, stakeholders, risk response, change control, and reporting.
Academic introduction to the project lifecycle, planning, and delivery discipline.
Comprehensive program across predictive, agile, and hybrid delivery, with an applied project.
Understand the European funding landscape before deciding where—and how—to apply.
European innovation support is not one fund and it is not found in one place. It is a layered system of centrally managed programmes, national and regional routes, financial instruments, partnerships, networks and territorial cooperation. This four-hour awareness course turns that complexity into a practical map.
Participants learn how Horizon Europe is organised, what its six Pillar II clusters cover, where the European Innovation Council and Eurostars fit, and how programmes such as DIGITAL, LIFE, EU4Health, the Innovation Fund, InvestEU, ERDF, I3 and Interreg support different stages and activities. The course also introduces Technology Readiness Levels and the regulatory questions that should be considered before funding and project decisions are made.
No prior EU-funding experience is required. The session is designed to help participants recognise promising routes, screen obvious mismatches and identify the next official source or expert to consult. It is an awareness and navigation course, not a proposal-writing clinic, legal opinion or guarantee of eligibility or funding.
Introductory awareness, team alignment and early-stage navigation.
Total facilitated time: 240 minutes, including a 10-minute break.
| Time | Segment | Content | Participant output |
|---|---|---|---|
| 00:00–00:20 | Orientation | Why European support is fragmented; the architecture from policy and budget to call, instrument and beneficiary. | Shared mental model |
| 00:20–01:10 | Map 1 — routes and mechanisms | Direct, shared and indirect management; grants, prizes, procurement, equity, loans/guarantees, infrastructure and advice. | Three-track search logic |
| 01:10–02:00 | Map 2 — Horizon and EIC | Three pillars; six Pillar II clusters; Missions and Partnerships; Pathfinder, Transition and Accelerator. | Horizon route map |
| 02:00–02:10 | Break | Short pause. | — |
| 02:10–02:45 | Map 3 — the wider landscape | Eurostars; DIGITAL; LIFE; EU4Health; Innovation Fund; InvestEU; ERDF; I3; Interreg and Danube. Visegrad is labelled as a regional, non-EU complement. | Wider-support map |
| 02:45–03:20 | Map 4 — TRL | TRL 1–9, evidence gates and worked examples from AI, health technology and clean industry. | Defensible current/target TRL |
| 03:20–03:50 | Map 5 — regulation | AI, privacy and data, cybersecurity, health and product-market triggers; regulation as an early design and funding input. | Trigger checklist |
| 03:50–04:00 | Action and Q&A | Participants select a likely route, identify a critical unknown and choose the next official source or expert check. | Personal next-step map |
Plain-language explanation, visual maps, worked examples and short fit exercises are used throughout. Participants may bring a non-confidential innovation idea or organisational need for the closing route-mapping exercise. No prior knowledge, consortium or active call is required.
ScopeThis course provides general educational information. It does not replace the current call documents, national eligibility rules, professional legal/regulatory advice or a project-specific funding assessment. Programme conditions and laws change; authoritative current sources prevail.
Most courses run as a 2-hour session, a 4-hour workshop, an 8-hour intensive, or as a 1- or 3-credit academic course; the awareness course runs as a single four-hour workshop. The depth changes; the material behind it does not.
Each course can be adapted to different educational needs, so it fits an existing curriculum, a staff development day, or a full semester slot.
The material comes out of our own work in scientometrics, NLP and the science of scientific change — the same research behind the Ticker Bell books.
The 1- and 3-credit programs are structured as academic courses, with case-based learning and assessment, rather than as talks with a certificate attached.
