This page lists everything tickerbell.biz stores on your device or loads from another company's server. It is a short list, and we intend to keep it that way.
The short version
We set no advertising cookies and run no analytics. Two items are stored locally to make the site work; everything from a third party waits for your permission.
Strictly necessary storage
These are set by Ticker Bell, are needed for the site to function, and are exempt from the consent requirement. Both are browser local storage rather than cookies, which means they stay on your device and are never transmitted to us:
- tb_cart — the books you have added to your basket, so the basket survives moving between pages. Cleared when you empty the basket, or by clearing your browser storage.
- tb_cookie_consent — your choice on this very banner, so we do not ask again on every page. Stored for 12 months.
Third-party content, and what it can set
Some parts of the site are served by other companies. When that content loads, the company serving it receives your IP address and can set cookies of its own under its own policy, which we do not control.
- Google Fonts (fonts.googleapis.com, fonts.gstatic.com) — the typeface used across the site. Loads on every page.
- Google Maps — the map on our contact section, showing where our Budapest office is. Loads only after you allow embedded content.
- LinkedIn — the post embeds on our Press page. LinkedIn sets cookies that may identify you if you are signed in to LinkedIn. Loads only after you allow embedded content.
- Unsplash — photography on some course cards. Images only; no cookies.
- Shopify — used for book checkout once connected. Shopify sets its own cookies on its own checkout pages; see Shopify's privacy policy for those.
Analytics
There are none. This site runs no Google Analytics, no tag manager, no advertising pixel and no session recording. If that ever changes, this page will describe what was added and why, and the change will be announced before it takes effect — analytics will not be switched on quietly.
Your choices
The banner shown on your first visit offers two options. “Accept all” allows the embedded content above. “Essential only” declines it, and the map and the LinkedIn posts are replaced by a placeholder with a button, so you can still load any single one on demand without turning the category on.
You can change your mind whenever you like using the “Cookie settings” link in the footer. You can also block or delete cookies in your browser settings — every major browser lets you do this per site — though blocking strictly necessary storage will stop the shopping basket from working.
